I just started taking photos with my camera, where should I start?
Start with one of our beginner – novice Digital Photography Workshops. By starting with the basics you will have a better understanding of how to capture great photos. These beginner photo workshops cover:

  • Camera Ready (how do all those buttons and dials work)
  • Lenses
  • Manual Mode
  • Aperture Priority
  • Shutter Speeds
  • ISO
  • Fstop -depth of field

I don’t have a camera can I still attend?
We have a limited amount of cameras to use on a first come first serve basis. There is an additional rental fee for the cameras.

I just bought a new camera and don’t know how to use it. Can I still attend your workshops?
Our instructors are knowledgeable on many makes and models of camera gear. We recommend that you purchase a camera with more than AUTO mode to get the most from our workshops. Bring your camera to class and we will be able to get started with your new camera.

I am more than a beginner but still an amateur photographer, however I’m not sure I know enough to take the advanced Digital Photo classes. Which photography class is good for someone that already knows the basics photo stuff but wants to take better pictures?
We would suggest that you take either the beginner or intermediate classes. Both photography levels offer a wide array of hands-on lessons that will equip you with a better knowledge of photography. If you are unsure of any of the items listed above I would start with the beginner – novice photo workshops.

Our advanced photography workshops cover:

  • Composition
  • Portraiture
  • Photo Lighting use of flash
  • Lightroom basics ( using to catalog all of your photos)

Is there a prerequisite to take the advanced photographer classes?
We recommend that you are fully versed on the use of your camera and know the camera terminology that is being used. The use of manual mode is used in the advanced workshops so if you are still using AUTO I would suggest that you start with the beginner classes. If you are unsure I would recommend starting with one of the beginner – novice photography workshop.

Will I be graded or receive a certificate for the photographer class?
Our staff will not grade you on work, however we recommend that you sign up for the critiquing that is offered. We will give constructive reviews of what you have shown in grasping the concepts through a portfolio review. This is strictly a volunteer basis and your review is held with the utmost confidentiality. A certificate of completion will be given to all students that participate In these photography courses.

Photo World Tours offers photography workshops that are focused on having you get better acquainted with your camera. The novice/beginner photographer workshops are hands-on with guidance through tutorials on getting to know how to use your camera in a manual mode. We will cover basic terminology, camera settings, shooting in manual mode and picking the right lens for the job.

You will put the theory from this photo workshop to use, tactile reinforcement for learning. Our instructors are versed in many well know camera brands such as Nikon, Canon, Olympus, and Sony so we can help you to get started right away.
