Barranco Peru Photo World Tours churchesThe colorful architecture and the lovely people make this a great spot for our tour to grab a bite to eat and start shooting later in the day.

The bohemian heart of the city, Barranco represent both old world charm and an example of a middle class trying to surface. Quaint shops and street performers take up most of the day.Barranco Peru Pisco Sour

Churches are a symbol of the deep seated convictions of the Peruvian people with the ancient traditions of both the native cultures and Catholicism mixed heavily in the mix.

Art plays a vital part of the day to day life of most Peruvians. Many of the homes display beautiful works of art to all to see from their front porches.

Pisco Sours are a drink of the Peruvian locals. This Friday in San Martin we were surrounded by vendors offering this local intoxicating beverage.

Thailand_"Photo World Tours", photography, "guided tours"Photo World Tours is a unique company specializing in personal photography tours being taught by professional photographers and customized for the beginner to advanced photographer.

Created by a husband and wife team Bryan & Rebecca Lang, Photo World Tours is located in five of the most influential and interesting cities in America. Sharing the photographic vision with others is what this photography tour company is founded on. From a local prospective, our company guides and teaches our guests what to look for, and how to help improve your photographic skills in the process.

For the last two decades, award-winning photographer & author, Rebecca Lang, one of the many Photo World Tour guides, has explored and photographed three continents and has taught many photographers how to sharpen their photographic skills through touring to unusual places. When the element of familiarity is removed, the photographer explore different ways to look at things.

I think of myself as an explorer who has spent his life on a long voyage of discovery.” – Paul Strand – From Aperture article on Paul Strand.

I am a full-time explorer of all things interesting” Rebecca Lang

Hands-on approach to teaching how to see the light is one of Photo World Tours’ main focuses. A deeper meaning emerges as you, the photographer, explores what it is like to really look and see through the lens of your camera. No longer the “spray & pray” method of photography. Many of the photography methods employed are tried and true lessons share by decades of photographic work. Sharing your passion for the people, places and things will be discussed to better customize your style of photography. Have your photography skills shine with guided direction.

It is part of the photographer’s job to see more intensely than most people do. He must have and keep in him something of the receptiveness of the child who looks at the world for the first time or of the traveller who enters a strange country.” – Bill Brandt

A hint of the unusual…your photography guide will take you to the places that are frequented by the locals. Share in the deep culture and traditions that are offer by exploring something different. Open your mind and your photographic eye will follow.

The photographer was thought to be an acute but non-interfering observer – a scribe, not a poet. But as people quickly discovered that nobody takes the same picture of the same thing, the supposition that cameras furnish an impersonal, objective image yielded to the fact that photographs are evidence not only of what’s there but of what an individual sees, not just a record but an evaluation of the world. It became clear that there was not just a simple activity called seeing (recorded by, aided by cameras) but ‘photographic seeing’, which was both a new way for people to see and a new activity for them to perform.” – Susan Sontag, On Photography by Susan Sontag , ISBN: 0385267061 , Page: 88

Take a photography vacation instead of buying new camera equipment. The art of picture taking is in the eye of the participant. The more you push the boundaries and travel the better your photos will become.
