It is part of the photographer’s job to see more intensely than most people do. He must have and keep in him something of the receptiveness of the child who looks at the world for the first time or of the traveller who enters a strange country.” – Bill Brandt

A hint of the unusual…your photography guide will take you to the places that are frequented by the locals. Share in the deep culture and traditions that are offer by exploring something different. Open your mind and your photographic eye will follow.

The photographer was thought to be an acute but non-interfering observer – a scribe, not a poet. But as people quickly discovered that nobody takes the same picture of the same thing, the supposition that cameras furnish an impersonal, objective image yielded to the fact that photographs are evidence not only of what’s there but of what an individual sees, not just a record but an evaluation of the world. It became clear that there was not just a simple activity called seeing (recorded by, aided by cameras) but ‘photographic seeing’, which was both a new way for people to see and a new activity for them to perform.” – Susan Sontag, On Photography by Susan Sontag , ISBN: 0385267061 , Page: 88

Take a photography vacation instead of buying new camera equipment. The art of picture taking is in the eye of the participant. The more you push the boundaries and travel the better your photos will become.
